Why I Do This Work
At the heart of Adrion’s thought leadership is a powerful and intentional act of narrative repositioning. He identified a deeply pervasive cultural story: the myth of the “messy middle”, which frames life’s pivotal transitions as inevitable periods of stagnation, decline, and irrelevance.
But what if the “messy middle” was one of the biggest myths ever told?
Adrion’s credibility stems from navigating his own “messy middle.” After two decades as a marketing executive for companies including HBO, Cartoon Network, and Citi, where he led brand development initiatives and learned from industry leaders, he experienced his own career inflection point when he was laid off in his early forties.
Rather than viewing this as a setback, Adrion used this experience as a launchpad for rewriting his own career story and testing the very principles he now teaches globally through Mid-Career Mastery®.
