Meet Cristina Jones.
Cristina is the newly appointed CEO of Black Girls Code, a non-profit organization that’s on a mission to place one million girls of color in tech by 2040.
Black Girls Code partners with schools, local organizations, and dedicated volunteers to offer in-person and virtual learning opportunities for girls and women of color aged 7-25.
Upon Cristina’s leadership, the organization will be focused on igniting and expanding the organization’s vision, broadening the curriculum and increasing the age limit to reflect a renewed emphasis on workforce development.

But make no mistake…
It has especially been about the under-recognized stories and voices that must be amplified for the world at large to take notice.
As Cristina’s recent rallying call so perfectly states:

For Cristina, that’s how meaningful impact happens, and what truly matters.
