With 20+ years experience ranging from entrepreneurship to leading marketing efforts for companies within the Fortune 100, Adrion Porter is a brand builder, tech CMO, personal growth coach, speaker, podcaster, and former television marketing exec.
Currently, Adrion is the Chief Marketing Officer for iDisciple (iD), a global media and tech company, that uses smart and personalization technology to help people access faith-based content any time, any place, on any device.
At iD, Adrion oversees brand development, marketing, and product management initiatives. Since joining the tech startup, Adrion has been instrumental to several major milestones for the company, including helping iD reach over 1 million users, leading a brand and UX/UI refresh, and launching its first ever podcast.
Also, as the leading voice on personal growth for the mid-career generation, Adrion’s personal mission is to empower others, especially Gen Xers, to amplify their brand maXimize their impact as leaders in business and life. Part of this mission includes launching the popular podcast – Gen X Amplified.
Inspired by Adrion’s own personal and professional journey, the vision of Gen X Amplified is to not only help Gen Xers, but everyone through actionable and inspirational content focused on leadership, business, and lifestyle. The podcast features engaging conversations with other successful Gen X thought leaders such Gretchen Rubin, Carmine Gallo, Paul C. Brunson, Jay Baer, Marie Forleo, Brian Solis, and many others.
Previously, Adrion was the Founder/CEO of Fusionflow Media, a “mobile-first” brand development and marketing consultancy focused on content storytelling and strategy across new media platforms.
In 2012 while at Fusionflow, Adrion was invited as a featured speaker to Oxford University in the United Kingdom by the Audio Branding Congress. During this annual event, Adrion joined an international group of thought leaders to discuss the power of “sound” as a strategic brand asset, especially in the world of new media.
Prior to Fusionflow Media, Adrion served as Senior Director, Consumer Marketing for Cartoon Network at Turner Broadcasting, where he led marketing and brand management for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ben 10, and other tentpole shows.
Before his role at Turner Broadcasting, Adrion was Director of Brand Development at HBO, where he led multi-platform campaigns for award-winning shows such as The Sopranos, Sex In The City, The Wire, etc. He also oversaw brand development and marketing strategies for HBO Latino, Cinemax, and HBO Mobile.
Prior to joining HBO, Adrion was a Senior Digital Marketing Manager for Citigroup within their E-Consumer division. There, Adrion managed the development and brand launch of Citigroup’s first online credit card, and their entry into the online person-to-person payment vertical.
Adrion holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University, and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from the University of Memphis. He currently lives in Atlanta with his wife Tracy, their son Kameron, and daughter Kaelyn.
